4 items

These are short activities for the first minutes of a class or a meeting. Each one lists how long it takes, how many people it suits, what you need and the steps. Most need no setup, and where one does, such as writing slips or filling in a quiz, it is the first step.

About Icebreakers and meeting openers

Nothing here asks anyone to share details about home, health, money or beliefs, and every activity has a note on who could feel singled out. Anyone can pass, every time.

There are four files. The first-day file has ten classroom games for grades 6 to 12. The staff file has twenty-four questions for staff meetings and PD, with 3, 5 and 10-minute plans. The team leads file has twelve timed plans sorted by minutes and group size. The question deck has forty-eight plain-English questions for international and remote teams.

Each file comes as a Word document, a PDF and a Markdown file, and costs 2 credits, about $2. The first-day file has a Personal licence. The staff file and the two team files come with a Commercial licence when you unlock or buy them.

Questions people ask

Do any of the activities ask people to share personal things?

No. The questions stay on work, small preferences and recommendations. None of them ask about family, health, money, religion or relationships, and anyone can pass without giving a reason.

Do I need to buy or print anything?

About half of the activities need nothing at all, and the six check-ins need only a video call with chat. The rest use paper and pens, paper slips and a container, sticky notes, a board or the course outline, and each one lists its materials at the top.

Do the team files work for remote teams?

Yes. Eight of the twelve team lead plans and all six check-ins in the question deck work on a video call.
